Elle Magazine UK made headlines last week when it released a video that depicted just how lonely it is at the top for women.
To show the under-representation of women in positions of power, Elle UK erased the men out of several photos taken at various gatherings of influential leaders in politics, business, art, and media worldwide.
Elle UK said they got the idea to create the video in 2014 after a speech Emma Watson gave at the United Nations- condemning gender inequality.
"There's a huge gender gap all around the world in places of power where women are needed,” says Lorraine Candy. Editor-In-Chief "And we felt that the only way to highlight that was something [video] that's shareable and global and resonates.”
