Making Faces

'Making Faces' by Kevyn Aucoin

Oh! Where do we start?

This book was so ahead of its time. The makeup looks are stunning and contemporary.

Kevyn knew how to use makeup to set women apart from each other, enhancing their natural beauty. Here are just a few of my favorite looks from Making Faces.

       Neutral

We are HUGE fans of the neutral look. Kevyn did a flawless job enhancing the model, Naomi Campbell's natural shading, and contours. He spent the time subtly accentuating her best features. Neutral is always recommended for a great daytime look.

Classical

"Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication."  This look is simple but "The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak."   Woohoo! We couldn't have said it better ourselves   Think little black dress, light eyes, and a bold red lipstick.  Really, what else do you need? Well, maybe a cocktail!

                                                                       Model

This look is loud and bold. It breaks so many of the traditional "rules" of makeup. I like that because there should be no rules. Your face, your canvas.

                                                                   Diva

Fave alert ðŸš¨ The smokey eye and light lips. Also known as the "Diva" look. Very Sexy. Everyone should try this look at least once.
