As Within So Without

Turn your face away from the sun and the wrinkles will fall off

Wrinkle Free Skin

Lady looking in the mirror sees an old face

"Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what the hell happened?!?"

There is nothing worse than feeling like a vibrant, active, youthful "cougar" ready to pounce from the inside, but when you look in the mirror, you see a broken-down, pre-historic mountain lion. Really, who wants that?! And though the cosmetic companies love that you spend billions of dollars a year on anti-aging creams, the best way to protect from an empty wallet and wrinkled skin is to prevent wrinkles and damage in the first place.

Prevention saves money

The number one cause of uneven skin tone, age spots, and premature wrinkles is the sun, and according to Web MD, "Over time, the sun's ultraviolet light damages the fibers in the skin called elastin. When these fibers break down, the skin begins to sag, stretch, and lose its ability to go back into place after stretching." What Web MD is trying to say is— the sun turns you into a Shar-Pei.

Unless you're a vampire or dating one that can bite you into youthfulness, avoid the sun, especially between the hours of 10 Am and 4 pm, when the sun's rays are the strongest.

It's very, very important to use an SPF 30 or higher and don't forget the ears and lips. I stop at SPF 30 because studies have shown no proof of better protection with an SPF over 30.
