You DO Have Time to Look Good This Holiday Season

    Wednesday, October 30, 2019
The holiday season is in full effect.  Shopping, shopping, shopping, holiday events, parties, cooking and lots of decorating. Don't get caught up in the “No time to look good," holiday chaos. The tree and the house shouldn't be the only things glistening.

Believe it or not, THERE IS TIME and we are here to make sure you’re not caught under the mistletoe without luscious, kissable lips, and a little glisten in your eyes.

Here are some simple hair and makeup ideas that will take you from sham to glam in no time.

For a day look, RED LIPSTICK- our pick: Besame Cosmetics: Classic Color Lipstick - Vintage Lipstick - Highly Pigmented, Long-Lasting Color, Feather-Proof Finish It looks good on every skin tone. Yup!  It's that easy. Brush your hair and throw on some Besame red-- Red lipstick creates instant pizazz. It’s simple and a great day look for this time of year.  "If you wear a red lip color, you instantly signal 'glamour' -- even if you're wearing the simplest outfit," says beauty director, Cheryl Kramer. Throw on red lipstick, keep eyes neutral, curl lashes, and apply a light coat of mascara.

For a festive night look, keep the luscious red lips and add a Smokey eye. On most occasions, when you wear red lipstick, the eye should be kept neutral, but it's the holidays baby! Tis' the season to be jolly, festive, & bold.  👄

    Here's How:

    1. Red lipstick:

Our blog on wearing the right red lip color will help you find the perfect shade.

    2. Maximize the eyes:

Start by priming the eyes with a great eye primer. This will ensure that your Smokey eye will still be there after your fifth glass of wine. 🍷 👀 Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer is still one of the best.

    3) Now, it’s time to start working on that smokey eye.  Too many people are afraid of this look fearing they will turn themselves into a trash can panda, but it is a lot easier than they think. The right tools and products make it quite simple. We recommend purchasing Too Faced Natural Eyes Kit. It has really easy-to-follow, step by step instructions, and all the colors and brushes you'll need.

    4) After you complete the ultimate, sexy, Smokey eye, curl your lashes. Gently pinch lashes at the roots and then move along the lash, making pulse-like squeezes as you go. Before applying mascara, use a lash primer. This is a must to really enhance the lashes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Blinc Black Lash Primer/var/folders/2n/65z0k0bj1l39g6ktzgn9zdyr0000gn/T/com.microsoft.Word/WebArchiveCopyPasteTempFiles/show?id=J4kYFV3V4TY&bids=390449.286056949&type=2&subid=0

    5) Use a mascara for both volume and length. We love Clinique high impact extreme volume mascara.

There are a lot of quick hairstyles out there to choose from. A cute bun, a ponytail, or my favorite a side braid.  Just have fun!
